Assemblies are normally held towards the end of the school day. On Friday morning we have a celebration assembly to recognise children's achievements during the week.

Weekly whole school and key stage assemblies are planned in accordance to religious events, special times of the year and historical events. They are aimed to strengthen individuals understanding, belief and feeling. We love to get the children involved in practical events which run throughout the year as well as inviting visitors from the wider community to share their beliefs, views and attitudes. Parents are entitled to withdraw their children from religious education and worship.

Links with our local community has allowed us to extend with the wider community. As a school we always look forward to those special times of the year such as Harvest Tea, where we invite senior citizens from around Woodlesford to join us in The Woody Spirit. Christmas is a time when we are able to become involved with our local community as we enjoy ‘Carols on the Green’ on the village green. Hot drinks and mince pies are served afterwards in the village hall.

We achieve together, we learn together, we succeed together
