PSHE Information

Our vision for PSHE at Woodlesford Primary School

PSHE stands for Personal, Social, Health and Economic education. At Woodlesford, PSHE is taught through a planned programme that supports and enhances the learning and development of children and young people. It allows children to acquire the knowledge, understanding, skills and attitudes they need to live confident, healthy, independent lives now and in the future.

At Woodlesford we want all children to successfully develop the qualities, skills and attributes they need to thrive as happy children and pupils and feel valued as individuals. PSHE prepares our children to manage many of the most important opportunities and experiences they will face growing up. They learn how to maintain a healthy lifestyle – both physically and mentally, face difficult decisions and become responsible for their actions and behaviour.

At Woodlesford we follow the Leeds PSHE scheme of work – “You, me and PSHE.” Below you will find a copy of the whole school planning overview so you can see the topics taught in PSHE across the school.
